  • Looking at this butterfly I'm guessing that it was pretty old. It offered no resistance on being picked up and relocated. When I was done taking my shots I just picked it up again and let it out the window. It even waited on the sill for a few minutes before flying off.

    i think you should crop these pictures more. you dont want to highlight the rest of the wall its just the details of the butterfly right? a nearer crop makes the details more distinct.
     
    Very true. But I think that would bring detail at the expense of depth. Also, trying to keep what I got out of the viewfinder. Guess I just need a better lens.... when I can afford it :-)...
