Cats and I don't usually don't get along much. Same with Missy. She didn't like me or my camera. I really wanted her cause of her colours and those eyes; all thanks to her owner who made a few shots possible. Chasing a cat, honestly, isn't something I'm made for.

This one was sitting there on the bank of the Umiam yesterday. Fidgety little buggers, these. Hover, sit, hover, sit.... clicking these dudes takes patience. I wish the background was a different colour.

My friends from the ISCKON temple. These guys were pretty amused with the strange dude taking random pics. They were very cool and loved posing for pics. Also showed me all the good spots around the temple going " Kaku, kaku... I like that moorti better". They live close to the spot and I guess the temple is a place they hang out after school. I really enjoyed their company.

This sumer has been bad. If the last saw floods, this one s causing a drought in Assam. The temperature had been soaring for weeks. Thank God it stormed last night. Flashes filled the sky for hours. I was up trying to get a decent shot but none of the shots came out good. Wish I was on the terace but at 3:30 am, I just didn't have it in me. Well, I hope the rains helpled the receding Brahamaputra.

One from my desk at office. I admit I have been lazy about taking pictures the past week. There's a couple of murials from the Siliguri set, but I guess I wanted to break the monotony of it. Doesn't look like I'll have a day to go out and play with the cam till the week after next. Hmmmmmmm... Gonna have to cook something up..

An open ventilator up on the balcony provided a few very cool shots of the Kirtan downstairs. This one was taken ater the kirtan. It was a little dark by then. I kinda loved how the colours looked outside through the cement work on the murials.

A pic of a murial taken from inside the temple. The light coming in behind the main stage through the cement work really made good patterns on the narrow corridors. Wish I 'd done a better job, but the lighting made balancing really difficult.
