  • This was taken a while back, ot of pure boredom... no frustration.. at work during the Pujas when the figures weren't turning out to be what I expected them to be and I needed something to get myself distracted. This one was taken at an Aperture of 36.0, 0.4 Sec, 400 ISO and 50.0 mm.

We had just finished the new lighting at the park then and this kind of light is now all around the place. Gives the park a really good look at night especially up from my office. This is from a ledge, the tiles at the bottom are a storey down and I really liked how the DOF makes it all look so close.

  • From my marketing trip to Jowai. Found this on a chapel in a school I visited there.
I loved the way the light reflected off the statue. This one was shot at 1/4000 Sec, 7.1 Aperture, 1600 ISO and 55.0 mm.

  • Got me a few shots of trees past Upper Shillong the last weekend. I guess the nearly gone foilage can provide for some very cool patterns if I can come up with them the next time I'm up there. For now, here 's one taken at 1/50 Sec, 10.0 Aperture, 400 ISO and 25.0 mm F/L.

  • Another one taken at dusk. The way the lights of dusk confuse the camera can have very frustrating and interesting effects. Damn camera never sees things the way I do but then it does provide for images that I never expect like this one, at 9.0 Aperture, 1/250 Sec, 400 ISO and 22.0 mm.

  • Was driving around, bored around Upper Shillong when I saw this place called Mawkriah. Had to stop cause the name was mentioned here a couple of posts ago by a guest. Very scenic place when you get into the farms there. Pity about the light tho. I missed a few possible shots. Here's one from a corn field there, shot at 1/200 Sec, 7.1 Aperture, 400 ISO and 55.o mm F/L.

  • The absence of interesting subjects makes things difficult. Especially when you have your hands full all day. Well, I settled for this fake plant at my place in Shillong yesterday. No flash and all tungsten, shot at 6.3 Aperture, 1/8 Sec, 400 ISO and 27.0 F/L.

  • Cloudy day at Umiam, found myself chasing this reflection. Messed about with the exposure and the ISO a lot. This version... I like. Taken at an Aperture of 11 and Speed, 1/80. The ISO was set at 1600 and F/L at 31.0mm.

  • Of all the insects I've clicked, think this one was the one with most character. I posted one of this one sitting all comfy on a finger last month.

Well, here's another of him striking a pose from the same set as promised. This one was shot at 5.6 Aperture and 1/60 Sec, an ISO of 400 and 55.0 mm F/L.

  • These pretty, pink flowers grow wild and cover the landscape all across the Shillong Jowai highway this time of year. These were shot at an Aperture of 7.1 and 1/100 Sec at 1600 ISO and 39.0 mm F/L. It was almost dusk and getting the right colour drove me nuts. Had to mess about with the ISO and WB a lot before I got pink and not white.

Bugsy here was rolling on the ground on his back when I found him. Those shots did'nt really come out bloggable but this one of him upright is one I like.
